2-11-winter-storm

The first major winter storm of the season has its sights on much of the tri-states area.

The National Weather Services has issued a Winter Storm Warning which goes into effect starting Wednesday morning and continues until the early hours of Thursday morning for most of Eastern Iowa. Counties in the warning area include Dubuque, Jackson, Jones, and Delaware.

Jo Daviess County in Illinois is under a Winter Storm Watch. The Weather Service is calling for heavy snow with a total snow accumulation between 5 and 7 inches by the time the storm winds down.

At this time, no weather advisories are in place for any Wisconsin counties in the listening area, but 2 to 4 inches of snow are predicted.

Forecasters say travel could be very difficult throughout the day tomorrow into early Thursday.
