Dubuque Man Sentenced 10 Year For Crash Causing Injury

A Dubuque man has been sentenced to jail time for crashing his vehicle while intoxicated which injured a young passenger in the vehicle.

47-year old Douglas Mc Reynolds recently received a sentence of 10 years in prison in Dubuque County District Court after agreeing to plead guilty to one count of neglect or abandonment of a dependent person and one count of operating while intoxicated — second offense.

Mc Reynolds was charged following an accident in July after officers found his heavily damaged vehicle in the area of Seippel Road and Simmons Way and he was trying to walk away. A 13-year old girl was also found and taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
