Cascade Junior and Senior High School has been honored as one of just 29 school districts in the state to receive a STEM BEST program award. As part of the award, the district receives $15,000.
The STEM Best program brings schools and businesses together to provide students a real workplace experience and introduce business and career opportunities in Iowa and gain career-ready skills.
To be considered for a STEM Best program award, applicants were required to submit a comprehensive proposal incorporating rigorous and relevant STEM curriculum, including partnerships with community businesses and organizations.
