Eastern Iowa Man Found Guilty Of Human Trafficking Dubuque Teenager

GAVEL COURT

A Hiawatha man has been found guilty of human trafficking for picking up a teenager from Dubuque last year, bringing her to Cedar Rapids, and soliciting her for sex.

Yesterday a Linn County jury found Jarod Anderson guilty of all five counts against him. This is the first case of human trafficking involving a minor since a new law went into effect in 2023 increasing the penalty to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Anderson will be sentenced at a later date.
