A return to colder and more seasonal temperatures is being welcomed by organizers and participants of the 2025 Winter Arts Snow Sculpting Competition and Festival in Washington Park in downtown Dubuque this Thursday thru Saturday.
The public is encouraged to visit sculptors and observe the carving process throughout tomorrow into the weekend.
The free community event will be from noon until 4 on Sunday in the park where attendees can vote on their favorite sculptures.
Last year the event was cancelled due to warm weather which didn’t allow for snow making to occur at area ski resorts were the snow is made and trucked into the site for the competition.
