IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Iowa sophomore Owen Freeman will have finger surgery (right hand) on Monday and miss the remainder of the 2024-25 season, it was announced by head coach Fran McCaffery.
Freeman started 19 games, where he averaged team-highs in points (16.7), rebounds (6.7) and blocks (35), while shooting 63.8 percent from the floor.
Iowa (13-8, 4-6) returns to action Tuesday, hosting No. 10 Purdue at 6 p.m. (CT) on Mediacom Court inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
