A northwest Illinois man has been charged with Reckless Homicide in connection with a traffic accident in January 2022 near Elizabeth which caused the death of two passengers.
25-year old Trey Thomas of Elizabeth is scheduled to make his first court appearance this Thursday in Jo Daviess County Circuit. Thomas has not entered a plea to the charges yet.
21-year old Wyatt Potter of Hanover and 21-year old Rhett Geisz of Elizabeth were thrown from the vehicle during the crash and died from their injuries. Authorities say Thomas’ reckless driving at a high speed resulted in the crash.
