A tremendous friend to Dubuque and all area veterans and their families died over the weekend. 76-year old Jim Wagner, the co-founder and director of the Dubuque’s Veterans Freedom Center passed away Saturday following some recent health problems. He is being remembered as a champion and advocate for the support of veterans.
Wagner helped co-found the Freedom Center located on Kerper Boulevard in 2009 which serves as a valuable resource and gathering place for Veterans.
