The Iowa State Patrol has identified the victim who died in an accident on Wednesday morning in Jones County.
The Patrol says 77-year-old Jimmy Offen of Martelle died after his car lost control on Highway151 near Anamosa, crossed the median, and hit a car head on.
The driver of the car, 60 year old Laura Davis of Cedar Rapids was injured and taken to University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City for treatment.
The Iowa State Patrol has not yet released the name of the person who died in a traffic accident on Highway 64 near Maquoketa on Monday evening.
Authorities say a Jeep driven by the person who died crossed the centerline and hit an on-coming pick-up truck. The driver of the pick-up, 27-year old Kyle Harland of Maquoketa and a passenger 22-year old Megan Post of Maquoketa went to the Jackson County Regional Health Center for treatment of injuries. The accident remains under investigation.
