USHL Hockey

YOUNGSTOWN, OH – The Dubuque Fighting Saints (24-9-0-1, 49 pts) dropped a shootout in a 5-4 defeat to the Youngstown Phantoms (20-13-0-1, 41 pts) on Friday night snapping a six game winning streak for the Saints. Dubuque will be back at Youngstown tonight.

Men’s Basketball

Iowa lost at UCLA 94-70

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Eric Dailey Jr. scored a career high 23 points and UCLA snapped its four-game January losing streak with a 94-70 win over Iowa.

Josh Dix knocked down 5 of 7 shots from deep to lead Iowa (12-6, 3-4) with 19 points. Iowa returns home to play host to Minnesota Tuesday.
