Dubuque County fire departments were called to two separate fires early this morning.
The first call came in shortly after 3 o’clock with fire crews from Holy Cross, Sherrill, and New Vienna responding to a barn fire on the Kenneth and Lisa Wille farm located at 23-773 Route 3. When firefighters arrived the barn was fully engulfed in flames. Damage was estimated at $50-thousand dollars. The cause is still under investigation, but officials say it wasn’t suspicious. There were no injuries.
The second fire was reported around 3:30 with Dyersville and Farley fire departments called to an outbuilding fire on property owned by Jared Wessels at 27-938 Dyersville Road. The building was a total loss with $10-thousand dollars damage. The cause hasn’t been determined, but officials say wasn’t suspicious. There were no injuries.
