Dubuque Fire officials say an accidental fire in the kitchen was the cause of a fire at a Dubuque home on Friday afternoon.. Firefighters were called around 3:30 to the home owned by Shawn and Kristi Schreiber at 16-46 Amy Court. When crews arrived they found smoke coming from the roof and fire visible inside the home. Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control in about 20 minutes after arriving.
There were no injuries. 2 dogs were located and removed by firefighters, one survived and one did not. Damage to the home was estimated at around $125-thousand dollars.
