An Asbury woman was arrested and charged with two counts of dependent adult abuse — financial exploitation by a caretaker.
56-year old Brenda Henry-Schreiber who is the operator of Your Best Interest, a financial planning service, is accused of taking thousands of dollars from at least two clients to use at Dubuque casinos.
Dubuque Police say they were contacted by the local bank where Henry-Schreiber has over 70 accounts after they noticed several transfers from clients’ accounts into both her business and personal account that the bank said didn’t make sense.
Following an investigation police say Henry-Schreiber admitted “borrowing” $5,000 from one client and $12,000 from another then using it at the casino but that she intended on paying it back.
