Dubuque firefighters battle a garage fire last night. Shortly after 8 o’clock crews were called to the fire at 446 Kaufmann Avenue. Fire crews were called in after the home owner attempted to put out the flames with a fire extinguisher but was unsuccessful.
There were no injuries reported. The garage sustained extensive fire damage and estimated at 73-hundred dollars. An unattended wood burning stove is being blamed for starting the fire.
