A county bridge which crosses the Maquoketa River in Jackson County has been closed until further notice.
The Jackson County Secondary Roads Department says the Morehead Bridge on 74th Street, northwest of Maquoketa is not safe for traffic and will need replaced before reopening.
Officials say safety concerns were found in a recent inspection. There is no dated for a replacement.
