Dubuque Childcare Providers Receiving Child Care Business Incentive Grant

Three Dubuque County childcare providers are receiving a share of $10-point-4 million dollars in state grant money to create 649 child care slots in the state.

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds just announced the new round of Child Care Business Incentive (CCBI) Grant awards for businesses across Iowa who are committed to expanding child care projects for their employees.

Area Residential Care Incorporated will receive a $395-thousand dollar grant to help repurpose an onsite location which will provide 35 new child care slots along with an outdoor, nature-inspired play space. A-R-C will partner with St. Mark Early Childhood to provide child care for their employees serving ages 8 weeks through 4 years.

Dubuque Childcare Collaborative is receiving a second round of funding with a grant of nearly $845-thousand to add around 100 new slots to the existing Bright Minds Campus on Chavenelle Road.

Dyersville Industries also received a second round of funding of around $675,-thousand dollars to the recently opened Michael & Jean Knepper Child Care Center in Dyersville which is expected to help create 25 more childcare slots
