Malfunctioning Clothes Dryer Causes Dubuque Fire, One Injured

For the second time this week Dubuque Firefighters were called to a fire caused by a malfunctioning clothes dryer.

Last night shortly before 9 o’clock firefighters were called to 46-57 Cardinal Drive on the report of a fire, upon arrival crews found heavy smoke coming from the front door of the manufactured home. Those living in the home had to be assisted out of the structure; one person suffered severe smoke inhalation and had to be transported to the hospital.

The damage was estimated at 11-thousand dollars.
