Rural Dubuque County Fire Causes $100K Damage

A tractor catching fire is being blamed for a fire early this morning on a Dubuque County farm.

According to the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Department, around 12:45 fire crews from Holy Cross and Sherrill were called to the Kevin and Dawn Wolf residence at 21-179 Plum Creek Road on the report of fire which caused damage to nearby outbuildings and other equipment.

The damage was estimated at $100-thousand dollars. There were no injuries. Authorities say the fire was non suspicious.
