The Field of Dreams is getting a big financial boost thanks to 500-thousand dollar grant to support educational and team-building programming for youth. The news is being announced by non-profit Dyersville Events and is being awarded by Google-dot-org.
The grant will be used toward communication and trust skills building camps, teamwork and leadership coaching, mentoring experiences with Ghost Players, and fantasy and athletic skills camps with former Major League Baseball players along with historic and hands-on interactive tours highlighting Iowa history.
The Field of Dreams hosts about 500 youth teams and several team-building camps every year.
