Dubuque Mayor Cavanaugh Discusses Madison School Shooting

As community members in Madison are continuing to wrestle with grief in the aftermath of this week’s school shooting that killed a teacher and a student and wounded six others.

Communities like Dubuque are discussing what steps can be taken to prevent such a tragedy happening here.  Earlier this week on KDTH Voices of the Tri-States, Dubuque Mayor Brad Cavanaugh says it something city leaders have discussed at length.

Cavanaugh says he’s confident if something happens here like what happened in Madison, the city is ready to respond.

Investigators in Madison are trying to determine a motive for the shooting at the Abundant Life Christian School.
