A 28-year old Dubuque man who pled guilty to physically and sexually assaulting a woman on multiple occasions last year has been sentenced
Sirmonta Coleman was ordered in Dubuque County District Court to serve 20-years in prison. He will serve an additional five years in prison on unrelated charges.
Police arrested Coleman earlier this year after a woman contacted them to report the abuse and told them two children were present during the assaults which occurred between March and November 2023, when the woman lived in Dubuque.
