Dubuque Man Receives Probation For Taking $12K From Mom’s Account

GAVEL COURT

A Dubuque man recently received his sentence after pleading guilty last month to charges he made over $12-thousand dollars of unauthorized transactions from his mother’s bank account.

57-year old Gerald Theisen Junior was given a suspended one year jail sentence and ordered to serve two years of probation after his plea to charges of financial exploitation of an older individual.

Theisen was charged earlier this year after a police investigation showed Theisen who was given access to his mother’s account to help her with finances, withdrew the money without permission between October 2023 and this past March.
