A car striking a horse drawn buggy in southwest Wisconsin sent two people to the hospital.
The Layfayette County Sherriff’s office says the accident happened shortly before six on Sunday morning on State Highway 81, Seymour Township.
Authorities say a car driven by 26-year old Jalen Phillips of Lena, Illinois was driving east and struck the rear corner of the buggy. The two adults and four children in the buggy were thrown out. The two injured were taken to Southwest Health in Platteville and were treated and released. The names of those in the buggy were not released. Authorities say the two horses pulling the buggy were uninjured.
