Dubuque has been selected to join a national initiative designed to increase equitable access to nature for children.
Dubuque will join Nature Everywhere Communities which is a partnership of the Children and Nature Network, National League of Cities and KABOOM!, an organization devoted to ending play space inequity.
Dubuque’s project team consists of leaders from The Wanderwood Gardens, Saint Mark Youth Enrichment, Hills and Dales, the Dubuque Community School District, and the city of Dubuque.
The project team will receive a year of strategic planning, technical support and start-up funding to develop and implement community driven plans to support early childhood and climate resiliency efforts.
