Dubuque Man Receives Sentence For Role In Reported Armed Robbery

GAVEL COURT

A Dubuque man has been sentenced to two years of probation for his involvement in a June robbery.

21-year old Jakobe Jones received a deferred judgment in Dubuque County District Court after entering an Alford plea to a charge of accessory after the fact. An Alford plea means he admitted no wrong-doing but accepts a given punishment.

Three other people who had alleged involvement still have upcoming court dates. All of them are charged in the armed robbery of 28-year old Logan Wilhelm of Preston on June 30th in the area of West 16th and Catherine streets.
