The Telegraph Herald reports a state ethics board will investigate complaints filed last year by the former president of Northeast Iowa Community College against College Board members who voted to terminate his contract.
The Iowa Ethics and Campaign Disclosure Board recently voted to accept and investigate a complaint filed in November 2023 by Herbert Riedel.
The Board says while they are not saying anything done was wrong, allegations point to that being a possibility.
NICC’s board placed Riedel on administrative leave in October 2023 before voting to begin termination procedures. Ultimately, board members voted this past June to immediately discontinue his contract.
