Tomorrow morning, the Potosi/Cassville High School football will play for the gold trophy at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison. Unbeaten Potosi/Cassville meets defending state champion Edgar for the Division 7 championship at 10:00.
This is the first championship game for Potosi/Cassville, however Potosi as a stand-alone program, advanced to the championship final once in the program’s history. The Chieftains finished runner-up in Division 7 in 2012.
Before the co-op Cassville advanced to the championship game four times and winning a state title in 1982.
Edgar has been to a state title game 15 times and won it all eight times.
