A Delaware County man is scheduled to be in court next week to answer to charges he intentionally set fire to a home with five children inside.
The Delaware County Sheriff’s office says 30-year old Joseph Pasker of Manchester was arrested earlier this month and charged with first-degree arson and five counts of child endangerment. The fire occurred on July 24th at a home in Petersburg. Pasker and five children were in the residence at the time of the fire and safely evacuated. Authorities say it was the second fire at the home within a week.
The Iowa State Fire Marshall investigated and determined the fire on July 24th was intentionally set.
Pasker has a court date in Delaware County District Court on Tuesday morning.
