Yesterday morning, the Grant County Sheriff’s Department had a second standoff situation with the same man in just over a week. Authorities say around 5:45, they were called to a disturbance on Southwest Lane in Platteville. A female victim had reported she had been assaulted by 50-year old Gerald Moon who ran from the area before law enforcement arrived. Officer’s located Moon standing in waist high water in the middle of a nearby creek. Moon refused to get out after several orders were given and officers then deployed OC Spray toward him. Moon was eventually apprehended after resisting arrest. He faces a number of charges related to the incident.
On November 2nd, Moon was arrested after a four hour standoff with law enforcement after barricading himself inside a shed following a disturbance.
