Wahlert And Beckman Fall At State Volleyball Tournament
Both Wahlert Catholic and Beckman Catholic came up short of earning spots in state championship matches yesterday at the Iowa High School State Volleyball Tournament at Xtreme Arena in Coralville.
In a Class 3A semi-final match, 4th ranked Wahlert lost in three straight sets to top ranked Mount Vernon. The Golden Eagles ended their season with a 26-and-9 record.
In a Class 2A semi-final match, 3rd ranked Beckman fell 3 sets to 1 to 2nd ranked Eddyville-Blakesburg. Beckman ended the season at 36-and-7.
