2024 Election Day Is Here

It’s Election Day, while all of the country is focused on whom the next President will be there are plenty of other races and issues on the ballot in Iowa, Wisconsin and Illinois.

In Dubuque County, voters are decided on contested races for auditor and a county supervisor seat.  In the auditor’s race incumbent Democrat Kevin Dragotto is opposed by Republican Keith Lucy.

A four year term on the Board of Supervisors has Republican Incumbent Harley Potoff opposed by Independent challenger Jake Rios.

There are several races for Iowa State Senate and Representative:

Iowa State Senate

  • District 36: Republican Nick Molo opposed by Democrat Tom Townsend
  • District 34: Republican incumbent Dan Zumbach opposed by Democrat Joe Hegland
  • District 32: Republican incumbent Michael Klimesh vs Democrat Brian Buening

Iowa State Rep

  • District 71: Democrat incumbent Lindsey James and Republican challenger James McClain
  • District 72: Democrat incumbent Chuck Isenhart and Republican challenger Jennifer Smith
  • District 66: Republican incumbent Steven Bradley opposed by Democrat Andy McKean
  • District 65: Republican incumbent Shannon Lundgren against Democrat Carolyn Wiezorek
  • District 64: Republican Jason Gearhart against Independent Ian Zahren
  • District 67: incumbent Craig Johnson is unopposed

Iowa Congressional Races

Iowa 2nd District: incumbent Republican Ashley Hinson opposed by Democrat Sarah Corkery and independent Jody Puffett

Iowa 1st District: incumbent Republican Mariannette Miller-Meeks against democrat challenger Christina Bohannan.

 

In Wisconsin, local Assembly District races include:

District 49:  incumbent Republican Travis Tranel facing challenger Democrat Scott Walker

District 51: incumbent Todd Novak faces challenger Elizabeth Grabe

US Congressional Races locally

District 2: Incumbent Democrat Mark Pocan against Republican Challenger Erik Olsen

District 3: Incumbent Republican Derrick Van Orden opposed by Democrat Rebecca Cooke

Also In Wisconsin, there are several school district referendums are being voted upon including in these districts: Platteville, Cuba City, Potosi, Mineral Point, Darlington, and Iowa-Grant.
