A Platteville man was arrested following a standoff with authorities early on Saturday morning.
The Grant County Sheriff says deputies were called to a disturbance on Southwest Lane in Platteville on the report 50-year old Gerald Moon had possibly armed himself with a rifle and was on a rooftop.
Authorities say Moon fled the residence before their arrival, but later learned he had barricaded himself in the 2nd floor of a nearby shed.
After about four hours of negotiations, law enforcement used O.C. spray to obtain compliance and Moon was arrested on a warrant for two outstanding charges for Domestic Violence he failed to appear in court for.
Additional charges for this incident are pending. There were no injuries in the incident.
