Tomorrow is Election Day and Dubuque County Election officials report as of Saturday, 21-thousand, 560 had voted early altogether. The early and absentee voting in Dubuque County accounts for nearly 36 percent of active registered voters.
Dubuque County voters have one more chance to vote early, the County Election Office at 880 Central will be open today from 8:00am to 4:30pm to cast your ballot.
Tomorrow, election officials say due to the shorter absentee ballot window of 20 days this election cycle, they expect a high volume of voters at the polls which open at 7:00am and close tomorrow night at 8:00pm.
If you still have an absentee ballot and were planning to mail it, officials strongly recommended you drop it off at the Elections Office and NOT mail it as ballots need to be in their office by 8:00pm tomorrow night. Postmarks no longer count.
