A Dubuque Thanksgiving Day tradition which appeared to have finished has been revived. Last year after 62 years of organizing a free Thanksgiving Dinner the Ginter Family announced they were retiring. The Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque says they have taken the baton from the Ginter’s to continue the tradition.
Hundreds of volunteers will spend some of their holiday serving their neighbors in need. Local nonprofits, businesses, colleges, and churches have joined together to prepare, serve, and deliver food and fellowship across the area.
