Two tri-state area women were injured in a two vehicle accident late yesterday morning in Jo Daviess County.
The Jo Daviess County Sheriff says the accident happened shortly before noon on Highway 84 at South Four Corners Road in rural Savanna.
Authorities say one of the vehicles driven by 40-year old Ashley Empen of Epworth traveling north and crossed the centerline striking another vehicle driven by 80-year old Rosemary Haring of Savanna.
Haring was taken by ambulance to Finley Hospital in Dubuque while Empen was taken to Midwest Medical Center in Galena.
Empen was cited for improper lane usage.
