A Dubuque man has died from injuries suffered in a bicycle-car accident yesterday afternoon in Dubuque.
According to Dubuque Police the accident happened shortly before 2 o’clock at the intersection of Thomas Place and Stafford Street.
Police say the bike being ridden by 49-year old Shawn Foley was traveling south on Thomas Place when he collided with the vehicle driven by 38-year old Matthew Schmitt of Dubuque while he was driving on Stafford Street.
Foley was taken by ambulance to MercyOne Medical Center where he died of his injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
