Dubuque County authorities say a medical emergency caused a Dubuque man to lose control of his vehicle and crash. The Dubuque County Sheriff says the accident happened Wednesday afternoon around 12:15 on eastbound Highway 20 near Lost Canyon Road. Authorities say 57-year old Mark Hittenmiller suffered medical issues, crossed the median, went through a chain link fence and eventually stopping in a ditch. Hittenmiller was taken to Finley Hospital for treatment.
