A Dubuque man faces charges following his arrest for allegedly sexually assaulting a runaway girl under the age of 16.
On Tuesday evening, Dubuque Police arrested 27-year old Cody Schmidt at his home and charged him with
third-degree
Police say their investigation started in January when the girl told police a man, now identified as Schmidt took her to his residence, provided her with alcohol, sexually assaulted her and gave her money before dropping her off.
