A Dubuque woman was injured after being struck by a vehicle in the downtown area.
Dubuque Police say 57-year old Melissa Loomis was taken to Finley Hospital following the incident. Police say Friday evening around 8:30 a vehicle driven by 50-year old Gladney Whitaker of Dubuque failed to yield while turning at the intersection of East 17th and White Streets and hit Loomis who was walking in the crosswalk.
Whitaker was cited with failure to provide proof of financial liability and failure to yield to a pedestrian’s right of way.
