Grant County has a new county sheriff. Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers has appointed long time law enforcement officer in the county Craig Reukauf of Lancaster to the position. Reukauf takes over for Nate Dreckman who just resigned to become the Grant County Administrator.
Reukauf will complete the remainder of Dreckman’s unexpired term that ends January 2027. The position then will be up for election.
Reukauf most recently was the Jail Administrator, has worked in the Grant County Sheriff’s Department for more than 25 years.
