The Iowa High School Athletic Association released its first prep football Ratings Percentage Index (RPI) of the season for Classes 5A, 4A and 3A.
In 5A, where RPI determines all 16 playoff qualifiers, Dubuque Hempstead currently occupies the No. 15 position.
Western Dubuque (.6556) currently holds down the No. 7 spot in the 4A RPI standings.
Wahlert (.6571) has the fourth-best RPI in Class 3A.
In 4A and 3A, RPI is used to determine the four remaining at-large playoff qualifiers. The six district champions and runners-up from each district automatically reach the postseason.
