Six People Hurt In Dubuque Accident Tuesday Night

Dubuque Police say six people from Dubuque were injured in a three vehicle collision Tuesday night in Dubuque.

Police say it happened just after 8 o’clock on North Grandview Avenue near  the intersection with Ungs Street.

According to authorities a vehicle driven by 34-year old Rhonda Timmons was traveling on North Grandview and reportedly swerved to avoid an animal and hit a utility pole which fell over. Another vehicle driven by 53-year old Laura Somerville ran into the downed power lines from the pole overturned and was hit by another vehicle driven by 53-year old Richard Kemp.

Timmons along with passengers 13-year old Zamari Grant and 12-year old Zamiyah Grant were taken by ambulance to Mercy Medical Center for treatment. Somerville was taken by ambulance to Finley Hospital for treatment. Kemp and passenger 49-year old Rebecca Kemp were taken by a private vehicle to Finley for treatment.

Timmons was cited with failure to maintain control, driving while suspended and failure to provide proof of financial liability.
