A car crashing into a house near Galena injured the driver and three people inside the dwelling.
The Jo Daviess County Sheriff says it happened Thursday evening around 7 o’clock along westbound Highway 20 near Jupiter Drive. Authorities say the vehicle driven by 45-year old Gregory Howes went over centerline, over the curb and crashed into the home with several people inside.
Howes was taken to Midwest Medical Center in Galena and then airlifted to a Rockford hospital for further treatment. 32-year old Andreya Wilson and a male juvenile who were inside the home had to be taken to Midwest Medical Center by ambulance, a third person in the home 35-year old Logan Kviesis drove himself to the hospital for treatment. The crash remains under investigation.
