Future development on Dubuque’s Chaplain Schmitt Island could include a venue sure to attract golfing enthusiasts.
This week at their meeting, the Dubuque Racing Association announced a PinSeekers golf complex is being proposed to be located on the former greyhound race track. The development is pending approval from the Dubuque City Council and Iowa Racing & Gaming Commission.
The plans include a 30-thousand square foot facility to include a high tech driving range surround by a 160 foot tall net to contain golf balls safely inside the facility, an 18-hole indoor mini golf course, restaurant, bar, and meeting facility for up to 150 people.
If all goes as planned the roughly 18-million dollar facility could be open by spring of 2026
PinSeekers currently has two similar facilities in operation, one in Tiffin near Iowa City off I-380 and in DeForest, Wisconsin.
