A 12-year old girl from southwest Wisconsin was injured when the vehicle she was driving was in a weekend accident.
According to the Layfayette County Sheriff the crash occurred Saturday night around 9:45 on State Highway 81 near Belmont. Authorities say Brittany Cruz-Cardona was taken to the hospital with what were called non-life threatening injuries after the vehicle which was going at a high rate of speed went out of control and into a ditch.
Cruz-Cardona was cited for No Valid Driver’s License, No Insurance, Failure to Maintain Control, and Obstructing.
