Dubuque Mayor Brad Cavanagh will serve as the president of the Iowa League of Cities Executive Board for the coming year.
Cavanagh was sworn in to the position at the league’s Annual Conference and Exhibit in Sioux City this week. He succeeds Cedar Rapids City Councilmember Ashley Vanorny.
Cavanagh’s term will run until September of 2025. He has served as president-elect of the executive board for the past year. Cavanagh has been a member of the executive Board since 2020.
