A Cuba City man was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle while riding a bicycle. The Layfayette County Sheriff says the accident happened at 7 o’clock last night on Roaster Road in Benton.
Authorities say the bike ridden by 86-year old Gerald Berning was hit by a vehicle driven by Tyson Dietzel of Cuba City. Berning was taken to a local hospital then airlifted to U-W Hospitals in Madison.
Dietzel was cited for failure to maintain control and not keeping his vehicle’s windows reasonably clean.
