Jo Daviess County Sheriff Kevin Turner has announced he will be resigning the position later this year. The Telegraph Herald reports Turner will turn in his badge on December 13th after serving the last 14 years as the county sheriff. Turner’s has had a 28 year career in law enforcement starting with the Galena Police Department. In 2002, he moved to the sheriff’s department and eventually took over as the Sheriff.
Current Chief Deputy Craig Ketelsen will take over the position after Turner steps down.
