Two Dubuque Man Charged In Armed Burglary

jail prison sentence arrest

Two Dubuque men are in jail after being arrested for an armed burglary earlier this week.

On Thursday, Dubuque Police arrested 19-year old Byron Manning and 20-year old Alexander Carmen on charges of first degree burglary breaking and entering.

Police say on Wednesday, Manning and Carmen allegedly entered an apartment on University Avenue, pointed guns at two of the residents and told them to get on the ground.  An X-Box system and I-phone were reported stolen for a combined loss of around $16-hundred dollars.

Police say the burglary was captured on a security camera showing the two entering the home and traffic camera footage was used to identify Carmen as the driver of a vehicle which had pulled up to the residence.

Both Manning and Carmen are in the Dubuque County Jail on $100-thousand dollars bond each.
