A Dubuque woman was arrested after reportedly attempting to stab a man with a butter knife and then injuring a police officer during her arrest.
Dubuque police say on Sunday shortly before noon they were called to a home in the 500 block of West Locust Street for a disturbance. When police arrived they arrested 18-year old Jataryia Williams on charges of domestic assault while using a weapon, interference with official acts with injury and second-degree harassment. Police say the man involved in the disturbance told them Williams tried stabbing him with the knife, but he was able to take it away and the fight ended. Authorities say while Williams was being place under arrest she injured and threatened an officer.
